Though his two brothers own/manage domaine Pierre Gimonnet in Cramant, there are no similarities in brands, only family vineyard holdings. Philippe married Anne Gonet in 1986 which is when they created this champagne in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, where Anne’s family vineyards of Grand Cru Chardonnay overlook those of Krug and Salon. Not a single barrel is used and the wines never go through malolactic fermentation. In 2012 they were joined by their son, Charles, who shares the same commitment and desire to continue what was started many decades ago by previous generations of the family.
