Stavros Kokkinos, a longtime fruit farmer, first invested in Xynomavro vineyards in 2000. With a current total of 3.6 hectares under vine, Stavros shares in some of the top parcels of the area, making him one of the up and coming estates of Nauoussa. A classic expression of Xynomavro – less rustic than some, with expressive fruit and silky tannins. The winery and the distillery operate as a gathering place for dining, entertainment, conversation and relaxation. It is an especially warm and welcoming space, fashioned in a way that respects the tradition of the venue. Guests have an opportunity to enjoy Kokkinos wines while the distillation of tsipouro (raki) takes place right before their eyes. From October to mid-December, during the distillation period, the room is particularly vibrant. Looking at past traditions to inform present and the future, we are proud to introduce Stavros and his Kokkinos winery.
