Basic Info

Antonopoulos Vineyards was founded by the late visionary winemaker, Constantinos Antonopoulos, near the city of Patras in northwestern Peloponnese. Constantinos saw the vast and untapped potential of this diverse landscape, especially the mountainous region of Achaea and the unique winemaking opportunities it presented. A winery has been built recently at Vasiliko, Achaea, 3 miles off the Gulf of Patras where the majority of the winery’s vineyards are located. Additional vineyards are in the region of Achaea at an altitude ranging 150 to 900 meters. Antonopoulos Vineyards source grapes from vineyards all over the Peloponnese, some owned by the winery and some owned by farmers who have been working with the family for decades with long-term contracts and in collaboration with the winery. Well known for saving a host of indigenous local varietals, Antonopoulos wines convey a sense of history and provide context to a culture of long ago.
