One of the truly great houses for Oporto, and a fiercely independent family run business since 1842! Dirk Niepoort now runs the winery, and oversees farming and viticulture of the two quintas: Quinta de Nápoles and Quinta do Carril in Cima Corgo, a region that traditionally produces the best Port wines. Master blender Jose Rodrigo Nogueira is the 4th generation of his family to be the master blender at Niepoort, and began working with his father at 14. The wines are astounding, and benchmarks for Oporto, and Dirk is also producing dry table wines that have garnered enormous critical acclaim. One of the finest wine estates in the world.
