Basic Info
Darnley’s Gin is a modern, yet traditionally-styled London Dry gin produced in Scotland. This wheat based, small-batch, four-times distilled gin is made in the time honored tradition of redistilling the botanicals with the spirit in a pot still. The botanical mix includes juniper, elderflower, lemon peel, orris root, angleic root, and coriander, resulting in a flavorful gin with a delicate finish. Darnley’s Gin is named for the union of Mary Queen of Scots and her husband, Lord Darnley, who she first spied through the courtyard window at Wemyss Castle in 1565. From this marriage came a prince who later united the thrones of England and Scotland.
