Basic Info

From the great era of the roaring twenties, Prohibition gave rise to the infamous ‘Kings of Prohibition’. From 1920 to 1933, as a nationwide constitutional ban on the production, importation, transportation, and sale of alcohol was in effect in the United States, organized criminals quickly seized upon the opportunity. Bootlegging exploded as speakeasies around the country sought out illegal alcohol. During this dry period, myths were born around the bootleggers. Al Capone, Lucky Luciano, Bugsy Siegel, and Stella Beloumant, among others, became legends, transforming wine history and setting the path for wine distribution around the world. Today, we pay homage and make our own wine history with the ‘Kings of Prohibition.’ Crafted by esteemed Calabria Family winemaker Jeremy Nascimben in Australia, each bottle of Kings of Prohibition brings to life an infamous ‘bootlegger’ with a story to tell.
