"Mon Chou #56" 2008

Jacob Franklin

This wine is deep garnet red in color with aromas of cassis, roasted herbs, tobacco and earth. It has great entry on the palate with a rich mouthfeel and lush flavors of currant, blackberry, cherry, and sweet spice. Full bodied yet extremely well structured and balanced with deep fruit flavors, well integrated tannins and a smooth lingering finish. This #56 Mon Chou is definitely one of our best bottlings to date. Drink this wine over the next 5 to 7 years and pair with roast beef tenderloin, pasta, fowl, and cheese.
