K Vintners

Deep in color and character, two distinctive vineyards. Floral if your bouquet is arranged with crushed violets. Toasted marshmallow, wet stone, Red Vines and white pepper - long and structured, this wine is “just right.” — Charles Smith

Reviews

  • "92 points. Saturated bright red-ruby. Wild aromas of tart crushed cherry and game. Intensely flavored and light on its feet; spreads out subtly to coat the palate with sour cherry and earthy mineral flavors. Finishes juicy, firmly tannic and long, leaving the mouth vibrating. Charles Smith does virtually no racking for his Syrahs but does do a bit of lees stirring. (vinified with 50% whole clusters; 40 days on the skins)." (vinous)
  • “90 points. Vibrant, ripe, focused and distinctive, with honeyed almond and floral character around a core of pear and citrus flavors, lingering enticingly on the open-textured finish. Drink now through 2016.” (Wine Spectator)
