"White Study" 2016

Hudson Vineyards

In 2016 the varietals showed how different they could be from each other. We fermented them separately in 70% stainless barrels and 30% neutral French oak. After alcoholic fermentation they were allowed to age on their light lees for 4 months in order to build complexity and depth. In January, blending was exciting since the different flavors really dovetailed nicely. The resulting blend is very complex, aromatic and minerally with a bit of extra body in the mid-pallet and a distinctive savory character. Intriguing and refreshing at the same time.
