Smallgully mrblack shirazviognier

"Mr. Black's Concoction," Shiraz/Viognier 2014

Small Gully Wines

This has a lovely aromatic lift from the Viognier component. Asian spices, game, incense, and blueberry aromas are followed by a medium- to full-bodied wine with layers of ripe fruit, excellent balance, and a pure, fruity finish. The Viognier adds some stone fruit characters, but more importantly the co-fermentation of the Viognier skins changes the phenolics of the wine adding mouthfeel and texture to the shiraz.
