"Red on Black" 2016

Mitravelas Estate

Agiorgitiko (ah-your-yeek-tee-ko) is a red Greek wine grape variety that, as of 2012, was the most widely planted red grape variety in Greece, ahead of Xynomavro. This is a vibrant Greek red with cherry, plum and redcurrant fruit, great depth of flavors and soft, rounded tannins. The gorgeous savory, smoky note in this luscious red makes it a great partner for grilled lamb, hearty slowroast casseroles, wild-boar sausages, or a chunky beef stew with dumplings.
