Antonopoulos moschofilero bottle

Moschofilero 2016

Antonopoulos Vineyards

Moscofilero (mos-coh-FEE-ler-oh) is a Greek white grape with origins in the Peloponnese region, it is often compared to fresh whites from Alsace, France, like Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. This aromatic white grape has pink/purple skin and quite spicy flavor with good acidity. Grown throughout much of Greece and primarily in Peloponnese where it is traditionally used to make a dry and bold wine with much spice and perfume. It is characterized by a "rose garden' bouquet and is usually paired with fresh fruit or fruit-based desserts. This wine has a pale yellow color with a hint of green and aromas of citrus flowers and rose. This vigorous wine has a high acidity and a good fruity impact on the palate.
