A serious wine from start to finish. Pretty aromatics of juniper berry and wild red fruits jump out of the glass while the palate shows juicy red fruit and a hefty amount of structure that will allow the wine to stand up to hearty dishes like lamb stew or duck confit. The wine is made from organic vines aging from 20-35 years on limestone soils at 400-600 meters - the naturally low pH of the pinyolenc soil keep the wine fresh.
