Petrichor lestroic

"Les Trois" 2012

Petrichor Vineyards

From a small vineyard site above the Russian River Valley planted to Alban-clone Grenache and two clones of Syrah, this blend of 54% Syrah and 46% Grenache is tightly wound in cranberry and strawberry, unfiltered and given time in entirely neutral French oak. Made by Duncan Arnot Meyers of Arnot Roberts, it is bright in acidity and balanced throughout.

Reviews

  • "Stunning. Elegant and balanced, with a distilled minerality." (S. Irene Virbila, LA Times)
  • “Very highly recommended. Opaque, masculine and funk forward. Rich aromas and flavors of earth, iron filings and animal. Medium+ body, fine-grained and chalky tannins.” (Fred Swan, NorCalWines.com)
