Dandelion sauvignonblanc

Sauvignon Blanc, "Wishing Clock of the Adelaide Hills" 2014

Dandelion Vineyards

Distinctive lifted fresh Sauvignon fruit purity, aromas of fragrant gooseberries, herbaceous Thai basil and just cut green grass as well as complex hints of white roses and even a little spruce. High impact and mouth-filling with more zingy gooseberry fruit and fresh layers of mineral like flavor in the middle palate before a long zesty citrus tinged ‘juicy fruit’ finish. Right now. With a zesty nose, three dimensional and refreshing palate, this wine is delicious either served moderately chilled with a second glass, second bottle even as an aperitif, or with seafood.

Reviews

  • "89 points. Green-tinged yellow. Fresh melon, lemon and ginger on the nose, with floral and quinine nuances emerging with aeration. Shows good focus and lift on the palate, offering zesty citrus and orchard fruit flavors complemented by a subtle floral note. Finishes taut and racy, with a touch of florality and good cling."
