Mustiguillo mestazaje

"Mestizaje" 2012

Bodega Mustiguillo

Deep in color with an intriguing nose of black fruits, violets, cedar and black pepper. The fleshy dark fruit flavors of blackberry and black currant are lifted by brink mineral acidity (this is where those limestone soils come through) and fine tannins. Leaves you on a nice sweet and spicy finish, a perfect pair with anything cooked over fire & smoke.

Reviews

  • "89 points. Bright purple. Dark berry preserve, vanilla and floral aromas are lifted by a peppery nuance. Lush and open-knit, offering pliant blueberry and cherry flavors that tighten up and become spicier on the back half. Finishes on a juicy note, with good length, soft tannins and an echo of blue fruits." (vinous)
