Lasirena cabernetsauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

La Sirena

The 2010 Cab has a dark, dense, rich ruby red color. Aromas are intense; deep ripe wild blackberry and black cherry, currants, and toasty caramel sweetness from a mix of new and used French oak barrels. Hints of fresh roasted espresso beans and spice leads to a silky yet vibrant mouthful of delicious Cabernet. The wine opens up in the glass and just keeps growing so enjoy the ride! Flavors across the palate mirror the aromas with a seamless, dense yet silky impression. Lightly mouth coating tannins linger in the strikingly long finish, adding structure and texture without dryness. The overall impression is of a big luxurious Cabernet with impeccable balance and finesse. The blend has Cab Sauv, Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Cab Franc in proportions to complete a beautiful, classically made, age-worthy Napa Valley Cab Sauv. Enjoy!

Reviews

  • "94+ points. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon is a bit more powerful and structured than the 2009. It has less of the early appeal of its older sibling, but plenty of pleasure waiting in store. Smoke, licorice, blackberries and sweet spices are supported by firm, insistent tannins. This is a beautiful, striking wine. Anticipated maturity: 2015-2030." (Wine Advocate)
  • "91 points. Very tight and tannic, with an underlying charm imparting a measure of finesse and refinement that bodes well for the future. Ends on a graceful note. Best from 2015 - 2025. 479 cases made." (Wine Spectator)
