Chiarli modena

Lambrusco, Vecchia Modena "Premium" NV

Cleto Chiarli

The direct descendant of the wine awarded the prestigious 'Honorable Mention' prize at the Paris Universal Exposition in 1900, a close reproduction of the original bottle and label. It has become a true icon of Sobrara Lambrusco, winning the 2010 and 2012 'Tre Bicchieri' prizes by Gambero Rosso, with all its characteristics: bright, light red color, an extraordinarily vibrant and neat taste with elegant aromas of raspberries and roses. Deep rosé color, with clear fragrances of strawberry and brushwood. Its taste is fresh, pervasive, mineral, and at the same time velvety and surprisingly pleasant. Dynamic.

Reviews

  • "90 points. Bright red-ruby. Exotically perfumed bouquet evokes red berry preserves, violet and sweet spices. Fleshy raspberry and red cherry flavors are quite primary, picking up cinnamon and vanilla qualities with air. Shows no rough edges and finishes with good clarity and sweet, vibrant persistence. Very elegant for lambrusco and deliciously crammed with clean, sweet red berry flavors that linger long on the aftertaste. Lambrusco doesn't get much better than this." (International Wine Cellar)
